Overview
Business Continuity Management and Crisis Management are top priorities for our client.
At this point, the Worldwide Operations area within our client has held performance Impact Tolerance workshops and quantified the risk within their business processes.
The Worldwide Operations group at our client is piloting and shaping the business continuity methodology established corporately.
This group has approved resources to move forward with the following actions:
· Develop business continuity strategies, including matrix of alternatives with recovery capabilities, other benefits and costs associated.
· Identify the optimal strategy for the business unit and gain leadership commitment.
· Create robust and detailed business continuity plans including failovers, capacity forecasts, application and infrastructure response, communication plan and key performance indicators.
· Exercise and test the plans with quantifiable performance data.
This work will primarily emanate from the Northwest (Vancouver, Seattle) though will include travel to locations worldwide, including Reno, UK, Singapore, Japan, Latin America and Puerto Rico.
Business Continuity Management Project Manager
This person will project manage our clients Business Continuity Management (BCM) and Crisis Management (CM) efforts around the world.
Business Continuity Management and Crisis Management are top priorities for our client, giving this work heightened importance.
The PM will be responsible for the on time and on task delivery of business continuity strategies and plans and test them against business recovery objectives. Specific responsibilities include:
1. Understand and align with corporate BCM methodology and templates.
2. Develop roadmap/project plan to meet deliverables.
3. Engage and secure resource.
4. With the business SMEs, develop viable strategies with side-by-side comparison and cost, select the optimal strategy and receive leadership commitment to the strategy.
5. With the business SMEs, develop detailed and operational Business Continuity Plans, with Crisis Management and Communication interwoven in them. In this process, look for ways to enable a singular process and experience where prudent to do so.
6. Conduct BCM training.
7. Exercise and Test BCM Plans.
8. Keep a log of all business continuity events and actual recovery against business recovery need.
Qualifications:
· 4+ years of managing large scale, diverse projects
· Advanced project management skills including experience with multiple projects and programs over various life-cycles in a multi-national and virtual environment
· Experience in process analysis, design and implementation. Process Improvement capability (i.e., Six Sigma) is a plus
· Demonstrated communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
· Demonstrated experience in cost, timeline and scope management of large projects
· Strong analytical and problem solving ability
· Ability to work under and deliver to continual deadline constraints
· Initiative and drive – possess a strong desire to continuously improve systems, processes and deliver against agreed objectives
· Excellent presentational skills including organization and facilitation of workshops

BA/BS Degree is required. MBA, preferably to include emphasis in Risk Management, Operations or Organizational Behavior or equivalent is a plus
