Job Description

As a Valuation and Business Modeling Manager, you'll lead valuation and business modeling engagements. Working unsupervised and managing small teams, you will be required to meet with clients, scope their valuation or business modeling requirements and manage the engagement. Using best practice tools, techniques and methodologies, you will be responsible for delivering most elements of a the assignment, including scoping the work, selecting the appropriate valuation techniques, managing the valuation analysis, writing the valuation reports and developing the recommendations; responsible for arranging projects. In terms of business modeling, you will be required to engage with the client to specify and deliver the building and reviewing of business models using best practice tools, techniques and methodologies; manage diagnostic programmes aimed at understanding the client's strategic decision and performance management needs, helping to frame the appropriate quantitative solution; ensuring that the appropriate resources are applied to create the required project deliverables within a given timeframe and budget. A key responsibility would be to communicate and review the deliverable with Executive Director / Partner and to ensure that the appropriate resources are applied to create the required project deliverables within a given timeframe and budget.

You will be required to written communication skills to deliver high-quality client-focused documentation, including model review findings, data books, user-guides, diagnostic analysis and recommendations.

You will be required to manage assignment quality and risk on a day-to-day basis; manage, coach and develop client service team members and to identify opportunities for the firm generally across their client base. Drawing on your experience, you'll assist in managing engagement economics by organizing staffing, tracking fees and communicating issues to project leaders, ensuring that work complies with our Quality & Risk Management (Q&RM) procedures. You'll also participate in business development initiatives.

Other non client related roles would include working effectively as a team member by demonstrating your commitment to quality, sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication and updating senior team members on progress. As a Manager, you will be required to help create a positive learning culture and will coach and counsel junior team members and support their development.

  Technical skills requirements

·           Very good knowledge of financial statement analysis, valuation concepts, approaches and the application

·           Very good working knowledge of Microsoft excel

·           Knowledge of IFRS and relevant standards relating to purchase price allocations, goodwill impairment, etc

·           Understanding of Quality & Risk Management (Q&RM) procedures

Additional skills requirements

·     Professional accountancy qualification

·     Strong academic record, including a degree

·     Excellent Analytical, interpersonal and Problem solving skills.

·     Demonstrate broad commercial and business acumen

·     Strong report writing skills/reviewing skills

·     Strong presentation skills & project management skills

·     Previous experience in working with multicultural teams

·     Effective time management skills, able to keep calm when under pressure to meet deadlines
