SL1711B - Credit Risk Project Consultant / Manager

JOB PURPOSE:

A project manager is responsible for managing budgets, resource plans and project plans for one or several projects and to report on progress.  The project manager will be responsible for having both broad and detailed knowledge of the projects they are responsible for and the background to know what and when to escalate issues.  The project manager should take an active ownership role and help drive problem resolution.  The project manager will be required to interact with change managers, business analysts, developers, quality assurance and users.

DEPARTMENT SUMMARY:

The department is responsible for the development and maintenance of new and existing systems which are used by Credit Risk, Treasury, Legal Management and Legal Negotiator users. Applications are developed and maintained within the New York, New Jersey, Toronto, Chicago and Mumbai Office’s with users based in Global Offices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage project budget, forecast expenses and manage actual against the forecast
• Maintain and manage project plan, track progress relative to the plan
• Ensure that project management standards are adhered to
• Liaise with change managers and developers to define project scope and costs
• Liaise with business users to understand requirements and help define the plan and resolve issues
• Work with users and technology team members to identify solutions to issues

  SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Project management experience
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Visio
  • Knowledge of software development life cycle
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self directed with positive attitude
  • Manage complexity and changing environments
  • Team player
  • Desirable Experience in technology development
  • Desirable Experience in Risk or Margin, alternatively, experience in an area exposed to multiple asset classes and/or data providers
